So Cal 4Runner BS Thread

I'm new and I've been looking for hours for the right place to post this question...I'm SO sorry if it's the wrong place!

I am in So Cal though.

I have a '99 SR5 V6, and (due to my ignorance & idiocy, plus a wheel falling off at 65mph) I've damaged the brake system to the point that I can't afford the repairs.

I am just wondering what the value of the truck might be with the damage. Thank you!

Would need more details about the rig mileage, model, color, 4wd or 2wd etc. also pics of the rig inside and out and pics of the damage your speaking of.
Then we could assist you better.

I bought an inflatable 6 person spa for my wife for her birthday a few days ago. So far I am enjoying it more than her. She will get her time on Sunday with her friends.

Sweet! Could have used that when we were frying up our turkey in Death Valley two days ago. hahah.

I like the white lettering, it gives a contrast to the red car/ black tires.

Oh ok, just curious. I notice that more east coast guys sport the white letters.
I don't think it does anything for contrast when you have bronze wheels doing that already for you. Now it just looks like the meter maid tagged your tires with with white paint/chalk as you go rolling down the street, which creates a white ring when moving and that's all people see and notice, taking their attention away from a good lookin rig on bronze wheels. They just see fast spinning white bird shit on the sides of your tires. Just my .02 I personally like your rig red/black/bronze not 4 colors and there's no white anywhere else on your rig making it look out of place , from my perspective. You've had some clean rides ...no white lettering I seen.

Heck yes...bring that sucker camping haha that would be nice after a long hike

OK next run everyone brings 25 gallons of hot water with them so we can fill it up. Someone will need to bring a generator to power it up too.

Otherwise that would be a great idea.

Damn I just got an email from Baja, the estimated shipping on my ladder is 12/23. That is quite a wait time.

Daaaamn!!! Just for a ladder...I don't know why you don't just fab one out real quick that's basics for you brotha.

Happy turkey day everyone! I got them installed Friday night. Taaa daaaa

Looks great. That's the second one I've seen with gold wheels (green one in FL for sale) and I'm not sure if gold will work with every color (definitely not with FDE), but it looks terrific with the dark red/maroon.

I'm not a fan of white lettering either, but... it's your truck!

I get it...different folks different strokes! :tea:

Already way ahead of you! Man these tires did so awesome in the mud/ slick sandy conditions yesterday, so glad I went with this tire!

You also put those sliders to good use! How was the trail? Hella muddy? You're going to be washing the muddy undercarriage for awhile! Looked like you guys had a great time!

Yeah Mike it was super muddy and wet, puddles everywhere! Yeah tell me about it, at least I have my power washer to get most of it off! I'll take pictures of the aftermath in the street today when I get home from work. Yes it was super fun the mud and wetness gave Cleghorn a totally different dynamic (sliding down when doing the off camber decents) new pucker feeling haha.

My buddy Brian I brought out it was his first time off roading and he was on road tires lmao! He was able to do a couple of the easier off shoots. His STT Maxx tires come in Wednesday so he wants to come out to the next socal run.
