I used the same app to pass the exam and found it helpful. There are also a couple of websites with questions from the current question pool I used when I didn't have access to the app or when my aging eyes wanted a larger screen. I can post those if anyone is interested.

And here are some practice exam sites. I liked the phone app because you know immediately if you got each question right or wrong, so you could review as you go, and google questions you had. I used the websites when I wanted to simulate taking a real test.

If you like reading books or listening to audiobooks my dad got "The Fast Track to Your Technician Class Ham Radio License" on audible to listen to in the car. I listened to it with him on a couple trips and it was pretty good. ~$20.

Anyone in the Whittier area have a 35/12.5 on either a 16" or 17" x 8-8.5" wide rim I can test fit on a "new" Tundra I just picked up. It has a 3" lift on it already and some 32s but it looks like it could take a 35". Was going thru the papers that came with it, found out its got 4.56 gears!

But my buddy has that same 1st gen tundra running 35's and I know he has a few sets laying around. Let me check with him brotha

I was looking for a T100 actually since I know how to work on the torsion IFS. Came across this one for cheap. Has a lot of miles cause the guy I got it from(original owner)commuted between Bakersfield and the Valley! But he was religious about the maintenance. Got a huge binder with every service record and receipt since day 1. Runs like a scalded dog! No issues at all. Had the timing belt changed recently so I'm good for another 90K. I was used to 90hp in the 4Runner, now I got 280!!! :lookout:

My buddy has that same Tundra with 35s and coilovers and He had to cut the bumper and do a pretty hefty BMC. Im not sure of the rims and backspacing but I can get pics from him if you want.
Whittier where the girls are prettier! Jusry is still out on that one lol. Its nice up in the hills, I am in East Whittier :target:

Some pics would be great. I'm not dead set on 35s, the truck came with 16x8s so I was thinking about running some 315/75/16s. I'm down for a BMC or bumper trim. Got fresh blades for the Sawzall! I'm also leaning towards 285/75/17s on some 4th gen 17x7.5" six spoke rims. Decisions decisions...
The girls are definitely prettier! I'm over by Turnbull Canyon.

I've got a clean, clean set of 4th gen 16's x 7.5 or 8 if you would rather go that route. Been in my garage all wrapped up.

Just venting Beofang's customer service is utter trash!!!!!!! :mad2::redbrick:
On our last run in Anza my 2 way was giving me many problems battery wasn't lasting long after full all night charge, would get hot, I would get a shock or jolt when I would press the call button down, would get random interference when no one was talking.
So I contacted Beofang directly since it was already outside of my amazon return window. They rma'd my original for free and I was responsible for shipping to them only, $15 big deal right. I sent the rma back with the battery and I received the replacement without a battery so I had to wait another 2-3 days for the battery to arrive, already a little irritated. Now when I go to use the radio with the "menu" button doesn't work so I contact Beofang back and they said I need to send the radio back for another rma and that I'm again responsible for shipping to them...this is where I get pissed!
Why am I responsible for shipping if they didn't properly test the rma replacement? Man I'm never going to buy another product of theirs again! I get that cheap Chinese radios will have their problems but if the customer service is garbage that's not ok in my book!
Oh well I just bought a brand new one from Amazon and when it gets here I'm going to swap it with the shitty rma replacement and return it. That way I don't need to pay for anything (I have prime)...also I'm going to trash Beofang on their shitty customer service in the Amazon reviews!

Damn. Sorry you had such a bad experience with them. I just bought a Baofeng HT last week. My expectations were low to start with, but based on your experience, I should keep my expectations for the radio low AND hope I never have to deal with the CS department. Cheers to Amazon Prime, though!
