Anyone make a replacement housing to switch to a simpler canister type filter? I would like to buy one if anyone is making one already. Thanks
i personally don't care for it. I believe others probably don't either. Making one from a billet would not be overly difficult for me as I make much more complex parts for a living. Was just hoping someone was on this and I could take the lazy way out![]()
Again, do you understand the differences from a filtration flow and pressure standpoint? Check the filter media differences and especially the dirt holding capacity not to mention the flow rate and higher pressures a cannister filter provides.
Would love to see it! Got a link?

I love the top mounted oil filter on my Tacoma. There was no reason to drop the skids then. That is why I liked it.
I heard there was a remote mount kit but never pursued it beyond that. I also worry about all the new issues it could create. I only do it 3 times a year. But remote would be cool to me.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why would anyone go through the expense and hassle and potential failure (thus voiding warranty) of changing a filtration system that is already so robust it can handle everything thrown at it? Are you planning on running the Baja?
This isn't something broken, so don't see the need to fix it.
