So I fixed the rear window.....well almost. HELP!!!

Several weeks ago I tore into the tailgate to fix the non-op rear window. The motor was shot due to the rails being soooo rusty that the window wouldn't budge resulting in motor gear damage. So I replaced the motor, pulled the window, and wire wheeled the window tracks until they where as clean as they could get. White greased everything and re-assembled. Window works great!!!! Nice and quiet too. However, my key will not roll the window up, only down. The interior switch works fine. I hear a click when I try to roll up with key but that's all that happens. Any idea what's wrong?

If I'm reading this right, your interior switch will roll up and down and your key switch in the tailgate will only roll down.

Possible problems:
Your key switch could be bad. Jump power to the wire on the back of the switch and see if the window moves. Even if you don't get movement here don't stop troubleshooting. See the next two since either of the next two being bad would prevent a good key switch from allowing the window to operate.

Your window limit switch could be bad and making the motor think the window is already closed. Seems unlikely since the interior switch works, but they might follow a different path.

Your relay could be bad. Take a look at the FSM below and on next post to test it all.
