Ok so I think I have figured out the noise that I have been hunting down. I'm giving anyone who is going to do the CV axles a heads up, ther is a silver dust plate on there that is on the spindle side of the axle. I think that some axles don't come with it and you need to take it off the OE, the one I ordered did have the dust shield. The shield is made of alumnium and its soft, in shipping it got bent so i tried to straighten it but failed miserably. i looked at the driver's side and that shield is butted up against the axle not the spindle, my passenger side was butted against the spindle so I went to work with a flat head screw driver and got it pushed out flush with the axle. im going to try and order a new shield because it aint much of a dust shield any more. I learned from my mistake I got in a hurry and didn't even compare the two axles. i hope this helps anyone who is going to do this job or has and is hearing a funk noise.
