So I went to turn on my rear wiper and.....

It was really cold outside here in Kent, WA and I went to press the defrost for my rear window and the light did not illuminate and was not operational. Also, my rear wiper, rear washer fluid is not working. Is this a fuse?? I have not checked yet, but wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem before and it was indeed a fuse. If not, then I will post back with my findings. Thanks in advance for your help!

You may have accidently tap the back window button. None of these functions will work unless the back window is all the way up.

Roll the window down then back up and hold the up position for a few seconds after the window appears to be all the way up. None of these things will work if the window is not all the way up.

Also, if the window's not all the way up, the wiper and washer won't work... :roadkill:

I did not think of this as I don't use the back window that much at all. It may have happened when I cleaned the dash and all prior to it not working. Thanks guys! I feel like an idiot!!:redbrick:

I have done the same thing. For all practical purposes, the window is up, but for some reason it is just 1/8" from being closed. I am glad I am not the only one this has happen to.:cheers:

The day I bought my T4R, I left it at the dealership service department for them to figure out why the rear wiper didn't work. I figured it out (reading through old threads) about an hour too late, and it spent an extra day at the dealership. That thing needs an idiot light.

Yeah, you would of thought they would put a light by the darn thing or something. This is my first ever SUV and since I rarely or ever roll that window down, I did not stop to think that was the problem since it looked like it was all the way up.

Man i love forum boards!!! I just had a lift put on and my rear wiper was not working. Thanks to this thread i learned that cycling the rear window was all i needed to do.

I disconnected my battery this morning to install my CAI. This afternoon I went to use the rear wiper and nothing. I remembered this thread, cycled the window and all is well.
