True, but I don't like the plate bracket just there. I prefer no plates in the front, even though it's illegal here in CA, but it's easier to clean the vehicle. It also makes the vehicle look a little more unique.

Since i still dont have my plates yet, I have the front plastic plates of the dealer, so people can see that it's brand new. lol

NC is the first state I lived in that had any type of inspection program. Not all Counties in NC have emissions checks yet either.

MI, TN, and NM for starters do not have any type of inspections.

I counted about 33 states with some type of emissions testing, of the 33 only 7 were listed as statewide, from the following website link.

I do not know how current the data is because it is not correct for NC. NC has many more counties with emissions checks now.

There are 17 states without any inspection program listed. It is not uncommon not to have any type of emission checks. If you grew up around Raleigh you have had them for a while.

Yea we have emissions testing here in STL and surrounding 3 counties. Basically you go to a "Emission testing station" wait 1/2 hours in line then pay $24 so they can hook the their computer up to your car. Its a big PITA and you have to do it every 2 years at least.

You Should feel lucky!!! Yearly here in NC and $30.00. And if you don't get your inspection they will not renew your plate and you can get a ticket which requires you to go to court. Court cost are at least $100.

Jiffy lubes and just about any shop can do the inspections if they have the trained personnel, but I don't trust those people any further than I can throw them. So I take it to the dealership (which is not much better) since they can not charge any more to do it than anyone else. But at least if it were to fail for some reason still covered by warranty they have to fix. The Jiffy lubes still charge you even if you fail. The Price is set by the state.

It is a Big PITA here too.

definitely going to afree the 4Runner looks better without a front license plate. Heck most cars do look better without a front license place.

Heck, it was the first thing I did was take off the front license plate.
