SoCal BS and Rant Thread

I guess I need to spend more time on TW so I know what's going on.

No iPhone here. Android LG G2 all the way!!!!

It's far better than an iPhone 5s. I know. I have an iPhone 5s for work.

I just hope I get a chance use my new toys.

I got the Engo9000s. It had a good review and it was pretty cheap so I figure I'll try it out.

Hey Broker, you got a build thread? Or more pics of that beast?

Not any more. There are some remnants left of it. It was on another forum and the forum got hacked and my whole thread was deleted basicly. I got most of my build pictures on photobucket if this link works.

Edit: link didn't work so try this

I've been thinking of redoing it on here but I really don't do a good job of documentation.

Broker looks good. I'll be in the market for one soon here. Maybe I'll get stuck in the sand and let you pull me out.
Got my bumper all buttoned up today.

Is that the savage bumper? Looks good. I thought that bumper didn't have a winch option? Also what was the purpose to remove the whole front clip? I saw you had a head light and turn signal off plus the grill?

Ya it's the savage and he has a winch plate option. Maybe he didn't before. I took the grill off just for more room to work and the headlight to move the turn signal wires and outside thermostat wires

Hey Connor you can wash it if you want. Haha. I pay you $5.

God damn Zach, wash that shit.

If you think that's dirty, I don't even know what you would think about mine at the moment haha. It hasn't been washed in months :wow:

I've tried getting him to detail mine before for my rear sway bar and cash. It didn't work :nono:

Alright, y'all. I'm gonna break up the BS and Rant with a serious (maybe ridiculous) question. I'm from the LA area (Diamond Bar) and I have a somewhat bad oil leak. I changed the VC gaskets, cam seals/plugs, halfmoons, plug grommets, but am still getting a leak. I believe it may be the rear main seal, but the leak seems to be coming from higher up in the vehicle somewhere.

Question: Is it worth the hassle of driving down to SD to drop off the rig at The Truck Shop?

I've read some really good reviews on here and on Yelp. This would be quite a drive and I'd need a friend to pick me up and drop me off there once the repairs are done. This may be a bit too neurotic...what y'all think?

Here's the oil leak pattern:

Honestly, while the Truck Shop is a great shop and I'm sure could take care of you, I wouldn't drive that far. I would think there would be a good shop somewhere around you that you could take it to instead? I've heard good things about Yotamasters in Corona, that's a little closer for you so it might be worth checking out.

He's always had a winch option. But I don't plan on keeping this bumper long term. I like plate bumpers way too much. I needed a bumper and Savage builds great stuff so ya.

Yotamasters is a great place. I think COB has a mechanic he likes too, that might be closer to you.

haha ya mines been a solid 6 months and many offroad trips. last was dusty death valley. but its not a show truck i use the shit out of it.

Kranger..... Yotamasters....is the place. Good guys, they know these things forward and back. They are the only ones I trust to work on my rigs. Their # 951 279 0220.

^^^^^ Agreed about the Yotomaster. Call Eric and not worry about your truck. It is not a fancy coffee while you wait type of place it is just Toyota guys that love what they do! You will see the build quality they do just by the rigs out front on the garage. Eric found something on my truck that three other techs could not in about ten minutes. I was shocked and I'm pretty dang mechanically inclined.

So Yotamaster(Corona) and The Truck Shop(San Diego) are the only place to really consider period.
