Are there any meets or a group around here that go out to trails?

Yeah a lot of Socal guys do meets. But a lot of those guys live in the OC/San Diego meet down in those areas. Not to many guys in LA County where we live I don't think. Theres a forum on here where Socal members discuss various meets, etc.
