Yep, Ill be headed there at probably 2pm Wed at the latest from lancaster which says its about 2 hrs away
so I should be there at 4 or 5 at the latest. I have a tent to camp with on the beach for that one night. Ill get some firewood, hopefully enough. And Ill prob bring enough hot dogs or something for 2 or 3 of us if I can and a few beers.
I have Socals info and hes supposed to meet me there. Ill be on cb channel 4 also just in case... if you plan on going send me a PM, tomorrow Ill shoot you my number if you are going.

I never made it to silverwood the other day. Hey ill post up some gps coordinates of the free campsites if you want. Or else to camp at silverwood you have to pay (its a state park) i think its $20 a night and $8 to get you vehicle in. But the free sites are a few minutes away and seem okay

Definitely Free sites. no reason to pay a zillion dollars. I already have spent a ton in gas money to get here.

you can if you want to pay for a site at silverwood, otherwise i dont believe you can. Maybe brian knows. i remember there being these free sites at the bottom of the 138 coming out of crestline. You turn off and there is a staging area, and last i knew you could camp there too, but the forest service is picky about fire locations. That area burnt about 6 months ago, But it didnt burn the camping area. and a few years ago too.
here is a google earth screen shot that may help you all figure out where this is all at. Remember if you that the 15 northbound to the 138 East you will have to pass silverwood first to hit the free site area

If we can actually get a die hard place to meet up at, there's a lot of space out there. Should we meet at Clegorn Rd or something? I'll have my cellphone and CB at Ch4

How about some coordinates or near cross streets for google map direction, is what i mean.
