Sold my 2015 Limited

I just rented a Grand Cherokee for a week while on vacation in Florida. The only thing I liked better about it was a smoother ride than my 14 Limited and much better engine power around town. It was a V6 Larado and this thing accelerated much easier than my 4runner. On my 4runner when I floor it from a stop it does not annoy my wife. On the Grand Cherokee when I floored it it would annoy my wife jerking her back in the seat, it always put a grin on my face. When I got back in my 4runner it feels like a complete slug in comparison but everything else is much more solid on the 4runner.

Get a Sprint Booster it is the magic ticket for a 4 Runner. One day I was out for a drive and kept saying to myself this car is a slug. I looked down at the Booster switch and the green light was off. Someone had turned it off because my wife and I would never touch it. It was in for the 20k service and they must of pushed the button. I reset it and now my 4 Runner was fun again. I didn't replace the 4 Runner for lack of acceleration because it was fine with the Sprint Booster. By the way your red 4 Runner looks awesome.

I actually have both a 15 4Runner and a 15 GC Limited (wife's car) she loves all the features of the GC but also loves the 4Runner and get's mad I don't let (want) her drive it more.

The GC rides great, smooth, tons of power, accelerates much better than the 4Runner. Is nimble and has heated and cooled seats!!! It even gets better gas mileage.

But I would take my 4Runner over it every day, I actually bought the 4R to have a car we could depend on for a long time knowing one day the Jeep might start developing problems (knock on wood that doesn't happen) so far it's been a great car. Granted it only has 35k miles on it. Her last GC was a 2005 with over 100k on it, got a pretty good trade in for it towards the new one and was still in great shape. That one did have some issues in it's time but never left us stranded.

When I bought the 4R my wife said she would want one if it had all the same features of the GC, so I understand where you're coming from.

I have had 2 4Runners and have always loved them. A friend had diesel Grand Cherokee and if there was one thing I was jealous of, it was the mpg that thing could get! Oh how I wish we could get a diesel version of a 4Runner!

We had a '08 Mitsu Outlander, a great car, but I wanted a bit more off-road capability, so traded it on a '14 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. That was a disaster for a number of reasons, bad engine, small rear storage, and general lack of confidence in its reliability. So we traded that for a '15 Jeep Wrangler 4 door. Another big mistake! Very noisy, poor handling on twisty highways, general discomfort, and we had a minor problem while off-road in grizzly bear country, shortly after seeing one of the big buggers right at the roadside! So, when we got home we we traded the Wrangler on our 4R Trail. There is no comparison. The 4R has it all over the Wrangler for comfort, quality, quietness (you can hold a conversation at highway speeds!), handling and convenience.
I would not give a plugged nickel for any machine that Jeep builds. - Ted

Me too, I traded my 16 TRD Sport 2WD Tacoma and a grand for a 2016 2WD SR5 Premium. Tonite I wanted to go key for key but I got them down from $3000 to $1000. The MSRP on the 4Runner was higher,

Less than 10K on both. After driving the tech-heavy Tacoma I miss a few things. Like the big screen, The 4Runner interior is the same as an old style Tacoma. No push button start.Meh the ride is worth it and I just bought a Fiat Spider 124 for 'milk and bread" runs,

So far so good. Although mine is a street vehicle I am enjoying reading the builds and hardcore off-roading some of ya al do

It's all relative

I just moved to a 2016 Limited from an older AMG Mercedes. The ride on the Limited is much better than the AMG suspension! The MB had all the cool tech too but I turned it off. I just want something that works when I need it and I can beat up a little without worrying about resale value.
