(Solution) Mini VCI + Toyota TIS Techstream 8.x on Windows 7/8 64-bit.

strange

everything seems to check ok and firmwareupdatetool device info is the same as yours so I'm not sure why I keep getting the cannot connect to vim. I am running a win 7 64 bit.

Did you close all of your anti-virus programs when you installed this and when you run the program(?) if not they can flag parts of the install as a virus and you won't have the complete program installed or when you run it.

Google and came across the free download links for Techstream V14.10.028, v14.00.018, v13.00.022, v13.30.018. Here are the details.

The video shows the newest Techstream V14.10.028 is easy to be cracked instead of to be activated with a key.

You can have a try.

Figured it out today on first try. You don’t need to use port drivers. Patched version worked like a charm.
 
vxdiag vcx nano toyota

this is the unit im using and its better than the mini vci cable. software seems smoother with the vcx nano, the mini vci still cause my program to crash a little, using the latest version.
 
so i have windows 10 and finally got TS working but im looking for the driver(s) for the m-vci cable (j2534), i can not for the life of me get the system to work together. anyone have the drivers for the cable?

What cables is everyone using? I see the vendors on AliExpress (and the one who posts here all the time at a $$ markup) still selling j2534, which is what I have, but it's running pretty slow. Trying to read wheel speed data it's only refreshing every few seconds, so can't pick up any major blips, and accessing the customize menus takes forever, up to a couple minutes sometimes.

Not sure if I got a bad cable, or an issue with the Virtual Box machine, or the old v7 software, or what? Are you guys getting delays with your setup?
