Solved - 2004 v8 iPhone obd Transmission Temp monitoring

So to expand on this I have an iPhone and I could not find anywhere where how to get the pid to work with the iPhone on the '04. I tried all the already mentioned solutions using 21d9 which revealed no data. Using enginelink, After opening the "add dial" while the engine was running I saw that the icons turned green and started producing data. I didn't have to download anything other than the standard $5 app.

My solution was:

Obd2: veepeak wifi/bt for iPhone

Enginelink's native transmission temp pid actually works and looks to be the pan temp.

I just did tested the trans temp sensor mode and the a/t light came on at 96.80 - which is supposed to come on at 97. So kinda verified?

It's using:
pid 01B4
Formula: (a-40)*9/5+32

I have not tested this to see if it will work transferring the info to torque but I'm very happy nonetheless that it's working.
If anyone else has anything to add, feel free.

Open the Torque app click on the "gear" symbol, then click on "Settings", then click on "Units", then un-check Celsius.

Unfortunately I can't help with that as my torque app displays differently than the android one. But, if anyone can confirm that the pods used here work without anything additional that might be helpful to others too.

I am not in my vehicle but if that seriously works I am going to feel like a botard for not figuring that one out. :frusty:

It works, I just had to change mine after setting up the Torque app and then I read your question a few minutes later,
you don't have to be in your vehicle to change the settings, change it and then look at the display, so go for it botard!
