SOmebody must have a Scion radio with IR head sets.

I couldn't get any answers from other posts so I will post here. I hope it is ok.

I have purchased a Scion radio T1807 for my 04 4runner limited.

Only problem is my rear RF radio controller (the rear wireless audio system: see the picture) on the top of ceiling is not working.
Is it because of Scion radio? Or something is wrong with my connection?
Everything else works fine on the stereo but NOT the rear wireless audio system. I have changed the battery for the remote but still the same. It does not turn on.. Pleae help!! It's just dead. people with the rear wireless audio system please check and see if yours turn on. I do not want to uninstall the stereo again....

I switched out the radio for a 2006 6 disc and I have the same problem. I think the remote goes with the radio even though the remote sensor is in the little light housing, but I am not sure. I will ask the dealer to see what they think, even though they are usually way off!!! I just gave up due to the fact that I will never use the option.

I guess I am not the only one then. I didn't know about this until I installed the Scion radio. I do not use IR headphone so I am thinking about keeping Scion. It sounds lot better. When I have kids, maybe I will change back to original stereo again for IR headphones. Thanks for your reply
