I search Craigslist quite regularly when I'm bored at work and I've seen a few of this dude's listings pop up. He has a Land Cruiser for sale right now that seems clean...but I don't keep up with current pricing on those since I'm not in the market for one.

Seeing that 3rd Gen listed at $17k makes me want to sell mine for $12k so I can just buy three more at a realistic price.

Wow, all of these sellers are smoking crack. I don't think any 3rd gen is worth more than 10K regardless of mods etc.

Bottom line is it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. And say up here in the Seattle area, they go for well over $10k all day long. And we're not talking about low-mileage ones, we're talking about ones well into the 100k mark.

There are people willing to pay stupid money for things.
I bought my 2000 limited with 140000 miles about 2 years ago and it was 10,000. There were a few others around for less but this one had no rust, clean paint and clean interior. Leather seats in great condition. I tried to get it cheaper but guy wouldn’t budge. I had been looking for a year. Amazingly the same 4Runner I have with comparable current mileage 230000 are selling here in NC for about 8000.

But if you wait long enough everything will sell and there are people out there with more money than sense.
