It depends on what type of locker you put in it.

ARB air locker or the factory Toyota E-locker you have to turn on when needed.

Lock-rite, Aussie, Spartan, Detroit are all full time lockers. I have been running an Aussie for a couple years now and like it.

Doesn't matter. You can make a 2wd pretty off-road capable if it's locked.
