Spacer kit or 5100s, or both?

Hey guys, looking to pull the trigger on a leveling kit for my 2012 Limited. Originally I started a post on here about the Daystar kit, but the more I dug around the more it seemed like guys were swapping them out. The vehicle is a daily driver but we do a fair amount of mountain driving and pull a raft trailer. Plan is to stick with stock rims and go up to 275/60 20s. I have a few more questions if you could help me out, thanks in advance.

1. Initial thought was 5100s up front, set to 2.5" and the daystar 1.5" spacer out back?

2. 5100s up front, and 1.5" coils out back. Unsure of which 1.5" spring to go with and what my options even are? Or even 5100 all around?

3. Back to the daystar 2.5/1.5?

4. Any need for a diff drop/wheel spacers, or anything else I'm not thinking about?

5. When is it necessary to add a spacer for weight on the drivers side, something I've read about on here but know nothing about?

I'll be paying to have this installed at local shop, but no one seems to have any suggestions. Just want to make sure I'm getting it right the first time.

Hey guys, looking to pull the trigger on a leveling kit for my 2012 Limited w/o XREAS. Originally I started a post on here about the Daystar kit, but the more I dug around the more it seemed like guys were swapping them out. Since you've removed your XREAS suspension system already what are you running now?

2. 5100's all around- Fronts at 2.5 w/SAW rear coils.

3. When I was looking at doing my lift I considered the Daystar's as well. The more I read about it the more it seemed most folks were removing them after 1-2 years. Seems like an unnecessary hassle. Do it right the first time.

4. No need for wheel spacers if you're running factory tire sizes.
4. No need for a diff drop for anything under 3in.

5. Out of all the lifted 4runners on here, I've only seen a small fraction care about and correct for the drivers side lean. As such, that is not something that is "necessary"; more of a personal preference.

Above is only my opinion. If you have not already, read the "lifted" thread. Tons of great information on there and a lot of folks posted their specific reasons for their lifts.

Have you looked at the Boss or Ultimate lift packages from ToyTec? I know its more money but it seems a lot of people on the threads like them. I'm just asking because I'm kind of going through the same thoughts you are. I want to get it right the 1st time if I can.

After I saw your message I had to go back and check. I thought that the XREAS limited 4 runners were badged that way and mine wasn't. Therefore, I assumed that I didn't have it. Although I'm not 100% sure, it appears I actually I do. Thanks for the help, I've since changed my original post

No problem. All 5th Gen Limited 4Runners come with XREAS. It is not an option.

With that, your only option is the Daystar Spacers. Unless you want to remove the XREAS system; then you can do 5100's or any lift you want.

Also, check out this thread 5th Gen 4Runner Buyers Guide. The OP put together some great info on different systems. And he also states that the Limited with XREAS is limited to only spacers for lift options. However, there are a few options besides Daystar.

Good luck.
