Spacer Lift vs. 3 inch lift

I am looking to add height to white 04 ASAP. I like spacers (2 1/2 front with1/2 in back) however I feel like it is not very noticable and won't make a huge difference in looks or performance, but I could be wrong. I've looked into 3 Inch lifts and like what I see, but I am keeping current wheels on it and do not want to add new ones. Would that look odd with lift? I will be doing occasional off roading but nothing serious. What is too much to pay, What is good quality, and What is average install price?

Please post pics of spacer lifts and 3 inch lifts and let me know your thoughts!

+2" in the front and +0.75" in the rear with 265/70-17 tires.

It's subtle, but noticeable when I park next to a stock 4Runner.

Good call Jaybird! I ran through the "Lift and Tire" thread about 4,000 times when I was trying to decide which way to go!!

Well about 3.5 inches of lift is the max 4th gens can go up front without brake line extensions, same, if not a little smaller in the rear. Meaning, its not like you are going to run into many 4runner that are much higher than you. 2.5/1.5 is noticeable if thats all the height you want. If you want the height mainly for looks, and want more than 2.5/1.5, go for the cornfed 3/2 or the revteck 3/2.

If you decide you want to go offroading alot, got for a suspension lift. But at this point, spacers sound good for you.

momo.75 is a great example of the daystar 2.5/1.5, seen it in person, and it is certainly noticeable, without being overkill! Also check out 1clean4runner, his Daystar looks great too!
