spark plug change/throttle body clean=engine quieter

After changing out the spark plug and cleaning the throttle body in my 02 4runner, the startup and engine sound quieter. There are no misfires and it seems to be running good. Just it seems less "tough". Is this normal?

I would venture so say yes, this is normal. I cleaned my throttle body for the first time about a month ago and since it has been a cleaner sounding engine and it has a nice resonance. As for spark plugs, I am not sure. Why brand did you go with? And did you also change the wires?

I used the NGK plugs bkr5ekb-11 that came original with the car. I used all NGK instead of half NGK and half denso. Did not change wires. I do not think I installed plugs wrong because it starts and runs fine.

Use The NGK and nothing else, unless supercharged.

So do you think that the quieter difference is normal after a spark plug change? In your experience. Logic tells me that it would sound loud and rough if i installed it incorrectly.
