Spark Plugs

So I'm planning on changing my spark plugs (planning on either replacing the current DENSO plugs with new DENSOs, or getting NGK plugs) and in order to access all of them I'll need to take off my Air Intake from on top. I have a 1992 4runner V6. I wanted to make sure that I will need to replace a gasket, correct? And if I do need to replace it, what's the name of this specific part/gasket i need so I can find it on rockauto.com

Sorry if this should be common knowledge but I'm a new home mechanic and learning.

The plugs come with the washer/gasket.
And NGKs are like $1.29 ea at local parts stores (like Pep Boys here in MD).
Why not get them local so you can see what you're getting.

I think he means that if he takes off his intake plenum he will have better access to the plugs, so which gaskets would he need if he did that.

OP, it is definitely possible to change the plugs without removing the intake plenum, just a bit more tricky. If you do decide to take off the intake plenum, then you will need the "intake plenum" gasket. if you unbolt the throttle body then you will also need the throttle body gasket.

no need to remove the intake plenum. Get a swivel attachment for your socket set and get it done that way. Also, have a magnet in hand for installation of the rear-most passenger side plug. But if you pull the plenum, leave the throttle body on the truck and unbolt it from the plenum. You will have a fun time with your idle otherwise.
