Speaker Sizes - 4th Gen With JBL System

I want to replace the factory speakers with aftermarket speakers but I can't seem to find the size for the following:

- Center speaker on the dash
- Rear Subwoofer in the rear compartment

Any input would be great appreciated.

I don't have that system, but have you tried Crutchfields online fitment guide? I know they have the options for JBL systems when you shop for Toyota stuff. It asked me if I had that or non-JBL.

It just lists the front/rear doors and tweeters, nothing about the center speaker or rear subwoofer.

I believe the sub is an 8 inch.

There is a problem, though. I have heard (but I never looked to confirm) that the speakers on the left side of the car are 2 ohm resistance and on the right they are 4 ohm, and the amplifier is set up accordingly. There are no aftermarket speakers that are sold with one impedance rating for one speaker and another speaker with a different rating.

IMHO the JBL speakers are terrific, but if you want to replace them you should just pull the whole thing, amplifier and all, and start from scratch.

The dash center speaker is the same as the tweeters in the front doors. The sub is 8", front woofers 6x9", rear doors 6.5", tweets in rear posts are the same as the front doors. All the speakers are 2 ohm.

Yes it will improve over stock if you get a component system that replaces front speakers and tweeters. However replacing my SR5 stock head unit dramatically improved the sound with the new (Polk) speakers. Got the rear door speakers replaced too, I got cheap Sony's and it was so bad, I had to fade it out. You can't even hear them so well, it's located too low IMO. Then added a powered subwoofer (Infinity) and again, huge improvement. Amplified the speakers and now it's like sitting in a concert every day.. So I would start with the front speakers. Crutchfield will give you all the brakets, installation stuff you need for "free".

I have searched all over and found conflicting information, what is the size of the tweeters for the 10 speaker JBL system? I have seen both .75" and 1" tweeters, I would like to know for sure before I buy any more speakers. I have already purchased 6x9's, 6.5's and a sub, but need to know for sure what the tweeter size and center channel sizes are. Thanks
