Speakers, Amp, Sound Deadening

I have a Pioneer AVIC F700bt deck already installed, it's time for some speakers and an amp. This will be my first ever sound system install. I will be doing Peel and Seal sound deadening while i have the door panels apart. If I really get motivated, I may sound deaden the rear hatch and floor as well.

For the rear doors, I have a pair of Polk audio DB521 5 1/4 coaxials. Also bought some adapter plates designed for our rear doors. The amp I have is a Polk Audio D5000.5 five channel amp. Power specs:
100W x 4, 400W x 1 RMS @ 2 ohms; 70W x 4, 200W x 1 RMS @ 4 ohms; 200W x 2 RMS bridged @ 4 ohms; 500W x 1 RMS @ 1 ohm (sub)

I have not decided yet on speakers for the front. I want to use components, not coaxials. Any suggestions on what would work well with the amp and not require modding my doors? The rear speakers have a 4 ohm impedance. Do I need to match that on the front?

I also have yet to choose a sub. I want tight musical bass, it does not need to be gangsta loud. I frequently drive with my dogs loose in the back, so downward firing is good to prevent damage to the woofer. I have intentions of a building sleeping platform in the next year, and I like what GottabeTRD did with his drawer system:

Pioneer TSWX251...sealed box/sub unit he used. Acceptable match for my amp?

I have lots of residential wiring...component rca cables, 500 foot rolls of 16ga speaker wiring. Any reason not to use these to wire up the 4runner?

Hey man, I recommend doing some google searching of the peel and seal in the doors. A lot of folks in warmer areas (I see you're in Texas, I figure it's probably quite toasty =p) report that the adhesive doesn't do too well on the vertical surfaces due to it getting warm, and the weight of the peel and seal causing it to droop or come completely detached.

For front speakers I would recommend Infinity Kappa's. I use them, and a good portion of the other folks on here use them as well... I know a lot of the lesser known audio companys are putting out some truly awesome products nowadays. I cannot think of the names of them for the life of me, I think one of them is Diamond though?

For a sub, perhaps consider an under the driver seat option? Unless that's not enough bass for you? I personally use an Infinity Basslink and LOVE it. My dog is only 20 lbs, but she doesn't bother it at all... Pretty sturdy unit.

For your wiring components I will say that lower gauge stuff truly makes a difference... I am using stock wiring at this time, and plan to upgrade that ASAP. I'd recommend throwing a few extra dollars at some quality wiring... If you have a local Stereo shop, see if they have some scrap laying around. In highschool I picked up more Dynamat and HIGH quality wire for FREE than I could ever afford to purchase.

As far as matching ohms, yada yada, that's all a bit over my head... Hopefully someone else will chime in for that. =)
