You can pull it up very carefully with a kitchen fork.

Remove the needle. And plug the cluster back in and turn on the ignition so the armature of the speedo is on zero. Then install the needle. I'll look today if the needle sits on a pin with ignition on or not. I had a speedo that was off 5mph to the slow. I had a spare speedo so I just matched up the miles and put the other in the 97 puppy hauler.

You could get a scan guage but that's not cheap. The ODBII will give you the same info your speedo gets so wont account for bigger tires. I'm sure there's free apps to use your phone's GPS to get the speed but I'm not sure how accurate it is. The free version of Torque (ODBII app) might even have GPS speed.

Personally I'd just get a cluster panel from ebay from the same year and swap the speedo. Or if thats not possible swap the cluster but switch over the board that stores the odo reading. It's been a while since I looked at one. It should be the same year and ideally trim level because different years have different connectors and backer patterns. If you swap the whole cluster it will change your odometer miles which may or may not be allowed in your state.

I know it's OBD not ODB but I always think of old dirty bastard every time I type it and cant help it.

Thanks for the quick response! I was thinking about just ordering one off ebay since their pretty cheap but how did you go about setting the odometer? Can you just do it by hand? Its illegal in Oregon for it to not match the actual miles. Thanks again
