I've had spacers on mine for over a year and 30k miles. No bearing or suspension issues.
I did expect, and have, rubbing issues on the front which were resolved by hammering the welds flat at the body end of the arch and clipping away some of the inner liner at the front end. It also made very apparent the fact that some tw@t had backed into my passenger side front bumper and shunted the whole bumper about 10mm closer to the rubbing wheel than the other side.
So getting this pulled back in line and the above tweaking did the trick. No rubbing.
Otherwise the spacers have been fine and give the truck perfect (ugh.. here comes the word) stance. Jap split rims were too good to pass.

Does anyone else with 285s and spacers rub in the rear? Running the LC shocks, stock bumpstops, but if I get real flexy with it, I'll rub the top of the wheel well and the fender a little bit. Do you think I'll still need to trim the fenders once I get (or make) some extended bumps?
The front also rubs on inner fender lip, but I'm waiting until my AOR bumper is done before dealing with that.

True but spacers will increase the wear faster vs not having them. If you guys don't mind the hassle and cost of changing bearings out, have at it. I had to do both sides when I had an 06' Tacoma at less than 50k miles and it's not fun nor cheap for OEM parts. Just my .02

It's not like they're hard to install/uninstall. If it's going to be a problem why not just take them off before inspection and bolt them back on afterwards?

With everyone's opinions, I'm ordering them tomorrow.
It's not so much the hassle of the inspection. But from what I've heard is the cops out here are a real pain when it comes to the spacers. Downfalls to living in Pittsburgh I suppose.

I was saying , that when I installed my spacers. My tires destroyed the plastic fender cover. And everytime I would turn into wawa ( op said he was from pa) pretty common gas station/food store in NJ and PA. People would stare at ne as if something was wrong with my truck.
