Spidertraxx and lift kit

I am going to get a Toytec 3in lift spacer on the front and a 2in coil lift on the back with 285/70/17 maxxis bighorns. Will i need to get the wheel spacers for the tires to fit? and will the tires fit with that lift?

Yes... The 285's will contact the UCA (upper control arm) when the wheel is cut almost all the way. If you were just doing smooth, parking lot u-turns you might get away with cutting it a little less than full. With the suspension flexing up and down your max steering angle will be limited without spacers.

The spacers will make the fender liner rubbing worse however, a cure is here: http://www.top4runners.com/ja/2007/wheelspacers.html Scroll down to see the trimming technique.

okay thanks for the help! so the only way it would work is if i trimmed the front bumper?

I have not personally tried 285's but that's what all report... I would try pulling the liner back first, maybe you'll get away with it.

search this forum for a thread I made on running 285's

-you will need to run spidertrax spacers for sure, due to UCA rubbing.
-your speedometer will be out 7%
-you need to trim the splash guard in the front (front bumper)
-if your allignment isnt perfect, you MAY rub on the body mount.
-you will not be able to run any kind of mudflaps on the front (ouch to your rocker panels)

I went with 265/70/17 instead of 285/70/17 for the above reasons.
