Spindle contacting my spring wtf? Could use some help!?

Ok so I'm doing my upper and lower ball joints. They're all buttoned up and torqued on. I got a daystar lift kit (don't judge it was cheap and temporary lol) 1.5 front 2.5 back and some bilstien 5125 for the back.

My problem is now that I have the 1.5 installed in the front at full drop my spindle is rubbing my spring. Wtf! There's no adjustment on my uca so how can I fix this. I can't be the first to have this issue. I'm back to work tomorrow on it. It also looks like the spring is located in the strut so I can't turn it.

It i also at full droop bud. As long as your not offloading you will be fine for a while. It isn't going to do anything beside make a sound and scrape paint from the spring. Btw Seirra Expeditions has the bed price on Light Racing UCAs. 363 iirc

Yeah I'll run with it for now... but I do a lot off offroading. Guess I'll keep it off the trails for a while now... well all it'll hurt is my spring and that's only gotta last. E a year or so lol

There is 2 things you could do here, first grab a dremel or grinder and grind diwn the spi dle a bit untill there us no more contact or. Get some spring compressors and rotate you sprung a little untill it doesnt make contact

Lol I was gonna say that actually. I did both to mine actually an eventually I ended up having the same issue unfortunately :( I just like the peace of mind of the UCAs

Btw you can still wheel it that way but I would for now try rotating the spring.
 
I looked at rotating but the sindle has a seat to index the spring. I can't see that working? Wasn't loving the grinding the spindle so I left it as is for now I wont be keeping these stock springs for that long anyways lol.
 
I see your issue with rotation - most here associate spring rub with oversize Tundra coils
on Bilstein shocks that have a separate, rotatable spring cup/perch.
I believe OEM has the perch welded to the shock body, correct?

That was the issue I saw with rotating. I'm good for now lol. I'm gonna have to live with it till I can get some bilstien front shocks or ucas I guess lol. I don't really want to grind my spindle.

I just installed a pair of Icon 2.5 remote reservoirs on my 2000. These came with two spacers in the bottom bolt mount position.

One of the spacers is about 1/8" wide and the other about 3/4" wide and they are supposed to be installed with the wider spacer in the rear which pushes the coilover closer to the front of the lower control arm. Instructions say this is for clearance issues.

Not sure if this would apply to yours but if you have replaceable spacers on the bottom it may be a lot simpler solution?

Strange, mine do not contact as I believe one of the ball joints is stopping or...or the shock. Is the shock leaking?
