I'm dyin to have a sport hood for my 05 Limited as well!!!! 241 doesn't sound too bad, although I must admit I've never really researched the prices of those. I'd be willing to bet the stealership will charge a hell of alot more than that, though haha.
 
FYI the insulation under the hood from your Limited will not work with the scooped hood. Some say you don't need it, but that's up to you. I wanted it. I checked into this after I had to replace the hood due to an accident. From my research the insulation was about $200. Also, the inserts for the scoop, which come in 3 parts if I remember correctly, are kinda expensive. If memory serves, the total upgrade (minus the primed hood) was about $300-350. My hood was covered by my insurance.

I would have loved to have the sport hood, but couldn't justify the cost for a non-functional hood. Good luck on finding one!
 
I want a sport hood for my 05 limited too!! If you find a guy/place thats selling them please throw me a link. The one the OP posted seems to be for the 06-09.

I went to the stealership a while back and the guy quoted me about $500 for the hood and scoop components. He told me that I could cut the insulation to fit the new hood but I'm not sure if anyone has done that or not.

Just take off the old insulation and attach it to the new hood. Cut it wear you need too. Shouldn't be too hard.
 
I would like to do this as well, and I would probably do the 06-09 grille and headlight at the same time!

No, it looks that way because the '06 grille goes on the outside of the hood, while the '05 grille mounts under/in the hood.

I thought they were different as well but I have '06 grille & headlights on my '03 and didn't have to modify anything related to the hood. I had to trim the grille to fit the '03 bumper but the hood is the same.

Either way, for which ever model it truly belongs to, thats a STEAL!

Hood is the same from 03-09. Just the grill and headlights changed in 06. and of course other things along with those (bumpers, tail lights, fender flares, etc.)
 
I have a shadow mica 4R that I would be willing to swap with a shadow mica limited (hood and grill)

Oh ok, that's good to know. I would love to get my hands on a sport hood; now I know I have more options!!
