Anybody ever finish their hood in the projects :biggrin2:

This is where I'm at as of today but should have everything
else tomorrow minus the matching paint.

This is a Certifit sporthood $68 plus $135 for OEM Toyota scoop guts plus paint.

^What kind of tires are those? Also, I read your sig, 2nd gens had roll bars? I know where I can find one of those if that's right.

Ooops , I need to change that, it's a 1st Gen rollbar.

The tires are Big O XT's. They work really well on/off road while in wet, snow, mud, sand, gravel and rock conditions in the northern high desert. The warranty offers great " no questions asked " benefits. We also have these tires on a Chevy 4x4 and V6/VTEC Baja Bug.

Did you ever get your sporthood? I used the certifit sporthood box to store my stock hood, if you need weight or demensions, let me know.

Did you ever figure out shipping cost to Ohau? Tuson4Runner seem to have a hook up on shipping. Especially that the Certifit hood cost $68 plus tax might make it worth it.

The fit and quality is right on.

Just had a little engine temperature observances to share after installing the hood scoop insert today. I planned to modify the scoop insert to hopefully cool the engine a little better in the summer months needless to say this won't be happening now after finding out the following.

I've driven the last couple days with no insert in the hood so air was freely flowing through. Looking at my ultraguage, the engine temps were no cooler without the insert installed vs. with the insert (which was suprising to me). Also there was a lot of annoying wind noise without the insert in place.
