Spotted ... North San Diego on the I-5. White fifth Gen.

Great looking truck but does that snorkel even get used? If I had that $$ a rig I certainly wouldn't drive it in 3 ft of water.

Well, the whole point of a rig like that is to be able to go anywhere. But my understanding is that snorkels are not just for water crossings, they are also supposed to reduce the amount of dust getting sucked into the engine by raising the intake point.

That's really the only reason for a snorkel, it would be nigh impossible to run a truck so completely underwater.

Is that the same 5th Gen in your build? Or do you own two... Which would be pretty sweet.

I passed you in my DD the Acura TL. Was just joking around about the snorkel. I'm sure at a minimum it sounds cool.

File this under “What are the odds?” Not sure if it’s another member, but I just saw a twin to my silver 4th Gen Sport Edition, complete with Satoshi grill AND Saints fleur-de-lis in the rear window, and this in the sprawling metropolis of Jasper, GA. Only obvious difference was their grill emblem is the TRD logo while I have the old school FJ40 TOYOTA. Crazy.

Walking around downtown Ft. Collins the day before Thanksgiving, saw this nice 4Runner parked by Walrus Icecream.

Spotted all these guys from 4Runners of Washington FB group!

Fun day. Got to meet a good group of people from the 4Runners of Washington FB group. It was cool to see that we had everything from 1st to 5th gens represented. Some very cool rigs, but more importantly some cool people to get together with.

It helps with MPGs as well and horse power. Cold air vs warm air from tires and engine. When I did mine I gained +10 horse power, and also increased my MPGs +4.
