SPOTTED Thread

I saw this sweet ride at NG mall today in Seattle. 1999, maybe 2000. I have had mixed feelings on tube style bumpers, but this rig made it look great, especially with the sliders in the side.

Saw a sweet forest green 3rd gen on 470 today, passed me and I jumped behind and then passed for a closer look. I waved when you turned and looked, awesome awesome looking truck.

Bumpers, sliders, snorkel, etc.

2chains I think I merged in behind you on the TCH today on the way out of Calgary. Your truck is looking great.

mattr;thanks, just did Optimum No Rinse and NXT wax this weekend after a soap and rinse at the wand wash. Really am liking the Magnetic Grey, although if the trail came in Blizzard Pearl I would have probably gone that route..

4Runners are everywhere in Texas; I see several every single day. But they're all bone stock. Maybe---MAYBE---I'll spot an occasional set of aftermarket wheels, but that's pretty much the extent of modifications that I ever see in person, and even that is rare.

But this morning I spotted a black 5th Gen driving west on the I-20 access road near Hudson Oaks, TX (close to Mikus Road). It had aftermarket roof rack, front bumper, lights, wheels---I couldn't tell what else because I was up on the freeway looking down at it.

I NEVER see anything like that in my neck of the woods! Is it a forum member?

Spotted this cool 3rd gen, southbound on Hwy 146 at around 1:30PM today. Definately had a lift of some sort and, what looked to be 33's.

Spotted texas4rnr on 121 Bussines in Lewisville. I was in the red lifted 3rd gen! (Didn't get to snap a picture).

I have to 100% agree with you. Here in Denton I've seen a couple lifted 3rd gens, fully built 4th gen (old forum member) and a TRD Pro but other than that just stock 4Runners at every corner. Sort of depressing haha
Last week I went down to FW and saw a sweet white lifted 5th gen.

Saw you too but you were behind me!

I was headed to work or I would've followed you haha
Really digging the Texas Edition theme, and those KO2's look sweet!

Desert dune-ish colored 3rd gen w/ dark greyish hood and left fender (couldn't see right side) and all the trimmings (lift, highlift on roof basket, etc) northbound on hwy 141 in west St. Louis county today. Only got a few seconds' peek, was headed southbound. Don't see many built trucks around, was a nice surprise.

I spotted this very tastefully modded 5th gen this morning in I75N in Marietta. I was in the white MINI with my wife! She actually took the picture because she liked the ladder and roof rack! I guess I'll be getting them on mine soon!

In Bozeman Mt. @ the spire climbing center. Not sure if a member here or not.

Saw some ICOM front coils.

Spotted a 4th Gen on Saturday around 1pm in Grinnell, IA... of all places, I would have never thought to see one is such a small town.
Anyways, looked very similar to mine but had a baja style rack light bar up top.
Didn't have my camera, so no pic :(
