Ok so shit.

Situation: Spring came off of the coilover. Put King 550lb spring on a Fox 2.5 coilover. Hit a pothole pretty good this morning, only thing I can think of that did this.

What are my options? I have to drive about 50 miles home tomorrow, not sure how much damage it will do (not much I'm thinking.) I have access to a decent shop so I can work on it back at home.

My idea is to rent a spring compressor and re-seat the spring, but I also don't want this to happen again. What I'm thinking is the springs are not meant for the coilovers? Shop that installed the springs never mentioned a thing so I'm a little lost with the solution. I don't want to invest much into this set up because there are going to be major changes come spring.

Looks to me like the spring is broken. You can see where it broke in the photo. Between the coils, left side at the bottom of the spring.

Yeah, thats what i thought at first, but its just off the perch. The spring is looping off of the perch, just the angle of picture.

That's what it looks like to me as well. You either got some bad springs and/or those springs are not compatible with those CO's. That also seems like a low spring rate. Most are 600-650 lb.
