spyware programs

I was having good luck with SpyBot-Search and Destroy. I ran across this one, love it. www.SuperAntiSpyware.com. D/L the free home version. Good updates,finds more than SpyBot and no emails junk from their site. Runs cooler on my laptop than SpyBot.

I use to run spywarebot, then I just went with mcafee. Mcafee seems to work better for me.

I've used a bunch too and like Malwarebytes the best.

Interested in this. My Dell 600M crashed catastrophically, hard drive toast. got a new Dell 1537 Studio and at times when i write emails it opens a new document. not touching a thing! ran spybot, windows vista defender still happening but less. called Dell. "Chuck" from India says spyware but a charge to diagnose. I say brand new computer Chuck. Chuck can't compute that so still thinking how to eliminate what is probably a trojan.

Note. Lost my I Tunes Library (was backing up just before the crash-figures). I Tunes allows to redownload entire Library free. ONE time. good news. >2000 songs and movies.

Any suggestions on the spyware appreicated. F Chuck.

Greyghost, I will run McAfee 2008 , then run my spyware program and find lots of garbage. Give a good spyware program a try.
