Square peg in a round tube

Apparently I missed shapes day when I built my 4runner's front drive shaft.. Its solid as hell and doesn't vibrate all the way up to 45mph (fastest ive ever taken it with hubs locked and 4x engaged)

How much slip do you have on it? I got around 10" on my square tube.

The only thing that kinda bugs be in the noise it makes on bumpy roads (2wd with hubs unlocked). I think I might put a couple zerks on the bigger tube to get it to be quiet. It's not loud, just enough for me to hear it. haha

I guess I look at those from a wheeling perspective--what shape is more likely to cause problems when you're dragging the undercarriage on trail obstacles? A smooth round shape won't catch on anything, while a square shape can grab the surface as it rotates. I personally wouldn't take the risk, but that's just my opinion.
