Squeaking sound?

Anyone have any clue what this awful noise is? Fairly confident its metal on metal but, not sure where it's coming from. It's a pretty shill shriek that only happens when weight is transferred side to side. I can jump on the running boards or the tow hitch and it makes 0 noise so I don't feel that it's the shocks/struts. I was convinced it was sway bar bushings so I greased those but no change. My LCA's are only a year old and I have OME 0004 UCAs that are only a couple weeks old. It only happens when its warm and it was about 93 degrees outside when I recorded the video.

Sounds like a bad shock/strut to me.

I would be pretty sad. Those shocks/struts aren’t even 3 years old yet.

Hard to say. I would have someone else produce the noise while you move around and try to isolate the source further. Could just be a bad bushing but it does sound consistent with the suspension like a strut and not MoM. Some parts just fail faster than others due to cavitation or some other minor defect.

Sounds like metal to metal, I would look at LCA. Did you lube the adjusters when installed? UCA, same, lube shaft/bolt when installed. Someone else had a similar issue on here sometime ago and what they found was real simple, just can't remember what it was!
If it's a stock UCA there should be no rotation between bolt and bushing anyway, so make sure it's tightened properly so there isn't any. Same goes for stock LCA, no rotation between adjusters and bushings unless they are loose.
Check your lower shock mounting bolts too.

Do you have aftermarket UCAs/UBJs? Put some more grease in them; was my issue after I over-filled them when I put new UBJs in them...had to replace them and now it's smooth and quiet.

One thing to note, when replacing control arms, they should be tightened when at normal ride height or you can get some squeaking. The noise doesn't really sound like that to me but I'm not next to your car.

Update!

Thanks everyone for your advise and tips! It's looking more and more like LBJ/LCA. I was an ignoramus a few years ago and bought some cheap advanced auto parts lower control arms and CV axles. Im beginning to think the parts are just junk. I made sure everything was good and lubed up when I installed my OME Uppers. The lower control arms were nice and lubed up when I installed them but it was almost 2 years ago. It looks like it's a combination of LBJ and LCA bushings. I hear "a" noise coming from both of those locations. I get a pop or clunk noise now from the drivers side when the truck is in motion so going to take everything off on Tuesday and see what I can find.

Is there a sure fire way to test a strut outside of the "bounce" test? Car feels good and sounds good when you apply up and down pressure. The sound only occurs when the body rocks or flexes from the driver side to the passenger side.

Yeah OME UCAs and ball joints. I hit them with some grease a few days ago but no difference. They are only like 3 weeks old now I think so they are still pretty fresh lol. I had the squeak before the UCA install. I only replaced them because I thought the sound could be stemming from there(still had oem uppers 170k on them)but it sounds lower. Good idea though haha I like where your heads at

I felt that it was metal on metal as well. Appreciate your post! They look good as far as I can tell but I have some time on Tuesday, i'll pull it all off and lube it up again. Im thinking I got junk LCAs. Also random question? Are OEM LCA's sufficient if I want to get a steel bumper? All Ive really seen is the Total Chaos LCA's but those seem extremely excessive for what I do. Anything that kinda slots in-between Total Chaos and OEM?

Yes, oem LCA is fine for aftermarket bumper, weight really doesn't effect them.
The rubber bushes in them can eventually fail and then bushings need replacing or new LCAs. Aftermarket LCAs usually have upgraded bushings that allow for rotation rather than torsion type movement over bumps.

Solved!!! This sound was coming from the Lower Control Arm bushings. A good go over with some grease has fixed it for about 2ish weeks now.

The cam adjusting bolt/nut for the LCA should be at least 100ft.lbs, I personally torque mine to 120ft.lbs without issue. But if they're not torqued properly they can squeak, pop, and clunk.
