Squeaky Clutch Pedal

About once a year, I spray all the pivot points (clutch and brake pedals) with spray lithium grease.

My clutch pedal squeaks all the time, what do I use to make it go away?

This is an old thread, so I just want to make sure those who come here in the future after searching, like I did, get cross referenced over to a thread that has more detail on exactly how to solve the pedal squeaking problem.

The squeak is apparently due to the lack of a P bushing on the pedal at the center of the torsion spring.

When the P bushing is gone, the torsion spring metal rubs against the pedal metal, causing the squeak.

About once a year, I spray all the pivot points (clutch and brake pedals) with spray lithium grease.

Adding grease is like turning up the radio.

It might make the noise go away, but the underlying problem is still there.

If you don't fix it soon, a replacement can cost $150 at stealer prices for just parts alone.

More details here.
