SR5 cluster replacement

I recently replaced my DLX cluster with an SR5 cluster and bought the correct oil pressure sending unit, however, I hooked up the oil pressure wire to the incorrect post on the new sending unit...as such the gauge is now fried:frusty:. I was wondering if its possible to replace the Oil pressure gauge and the Temp assembly in the manual SR5 cluster with the assembly from an auto SR5 cluster. The cluster consists of 4 assemblies (Oil pressure + Temp, Tachometer, Speedometer, Battery Voltage + Fuel Gauge) and the auto has the same assemblies but instead of the Battery voltage it has the ECT. I know the wiring/pins are different for the Auto's cluster but shouldn't the assembly for the Oil pressure gauge and the Temp gauge be identical? Thanks for your time guys.

Update: I also have the chance to buy an 84 2wd cluster if the auto cluster swap falls through. I looked through some old threads and it seems doable based on the diagrams. Just wanted to hear some feedback from anyone who has taken them apart.

They are interchangeable in the cluster for sure, but you will need the pigtails and harness connections to make them work on a 84 style Because that would be a carburetor style harness.

Can you explain why would I need the pigtails and harness connections if all i'm doing is swapping the assembly?

The screws appear to be in identical positions across all dashes, and the only difference seems to be the wiring on the back. I attached two pics othat hopefully explain my point, auto is 1990 the manual is from 1987. (dirtier cluster is the auto cluster).
