SR5 Vs Limited

I've ordered a 2wd SR5 w/premium pkg, sunroof, DJ stereo pkg, tint. This combo is 33,890 msrp.

Just wondering from people who have limited models if it would be worth the extra 5-6K $ to get a 2wd limited. I've looked over the spec sheet for both and don't see what I would be getting for the money. I know it has the upgraded suspension, 15spkr stereo and bigger wheels. But is there something else that made you want it over the sr5.

Oh and as to 2wd this is my company car so I need it only for hwy driving no off roading.

Thanks

The interior panels are blacked out on the limited which I really, really wish the SR5 had. Another thing is the keyless entry. I couldn't justify the money for the Limited when the SR5 w/ the premium package knocked out all the important bits for my wants and needs. I suppose if I were willing to spend $39k on a vehicle, I'd probably have gotten the limited.

Thats my thoughts exactly. I really wished the SR5 was blacked out as well but it isn't a deal breaker for me. The keyless/push button start is nice too,my infiniti has that. Just wondering if there was anything I was missing. Thanks

I ordered an SR5 w/ prem pkg and plan to remove the non-black interior panels and paint them black with Krylon Fusion Plastic paint. Hopefully someone with expertise (like harper7) can chime in as to how to remove these interior panels.

Sounds interesting, very curious to see how that comes out! I know on the limited the leather type material on the inside of the doors is black as well, but grey on the SR5, I wonder if that might look out of place after you paint the panels?

Are you talking about the vinyl door panels? Flexible vinyl(fake leather) or plastic takes a different paint then Krylon Fusion as the Fusion is for hard plastics.I have used the Dupli-color vinyl paint on door panels years back on 911 door panels and they lookedas good as factory. It's more of a dye or ink like permanant marker then paint really. As far as taking the door panels off ,I hav'nt taken mine off yet on my 5th but they should be like any other door panels. A couple of hidden screws and then those white snap in clips.I'll look into it as I have to take my back door panels off when my TE parts come in anyways to change the flares on the back doors.
Here is a link on painting vinyl.
doodman...The problem might lie in you have big dogs as they will scratch the paint down to the original gray . You can also just buy black ones for a Limited and replace them.

Ya, you would probably have to go all black. Oh and great job defending the 5th's in that crazy 4cyl thread!:AK47:

I like the SR5 with leather option.

Comes in around $36,500 MSRP.

I vow to never get another vehicle without leather. Just my preference.

We were initially looking at the SR5. I also use the 4Runner as a company car and will put around 25k per year on it. At first, I couldn't see paying the extra money for what I saw was navigation, 20" wheels and the push button start.

After spending some time in the Limited my wife and I decided to get it. We plan on keeping it for awhile and decided we would enjoy all the little extras. From navigation, 20" wheels, JBL audio, push start... Well we got emotionally attached (not enough to walk until we got a good deal though).

Have had the truck for 5 days now, and we are glad we upgraded to the Limited. The navigation, which I didn't care to have in the first place, has been fun to have. I didn't realize at the time, but the bluetooth package is better to have with the nav. The backup camera has gotten more use than I thought would have as well.

My final verdict, if you have the extra money get it.
