SRS light

Yesterday the SRS light came on in my 2000 SR5. I've owned 3 gen 3 t4r and this is the first to do this. Looked in the manual and it said, "either the bags had been deployed (pretty sure I would have noticed this as I was prying my glasses out of my eyes), the front of the vehicle was in an accident and had been damaged (nope), the pad section of the steering cover or passenger airbag cover was cracked etc (possible but I don't see any problems).

Is there also a possibility there's a screwed up sensor somewhere? Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

Today I took it in to the shop. It had a entire list of codes in the history. Long story short, looks like it's the sensor unit, but it seems to be working now so I think perhaps I'll be looking for one of those in the used market, new the quote was in excess of $500.
