Stabilizer Bar Bushing

I have a worn bushing on the stabilizer bar on the front right of my 03" SR5. I want to replace both on the fronts if I am going to do it. Would it make sense to replace the bushing or pay for the whole Kit for the front end stabilizer bar since they are going in there anyway? I am also replacing the front and rear shocks. Thanks!

I'd try and find a urethane bushing set for the bar, OEM rubber is terrible no matter what car or truck you have.

That's what RadRunner said: I will call my guy to search for the PU kit and thanks so much.

"The whole kit is really not needed unless like you said plan on keeping it, changing all the swaybar endlinks and bushings are a good idea since the rubber tends to dry out over the years. May I suggest getting polyurethane, they're more stable as far as turning goes it feels a bit more responsive. Poly bushings are also stringer and made of different material, so they don't crack or dry out like the rubbers. Hope this helped."

Got her back today. New shocks front/rear. Front bar bushings and links and I did get the PU bushings. cute little blue things She had an alignment and oil change. Put my new summer Nokian HT SUV. Steering is so tight she feels like a race car! Thanks!:banana:

i did the front bushings not too long ago. here are the ones i bought. i will say this, if you do get the front ones, it will be so much easier to remove the sway bar if you take a 10mm + 12mm socket and remove that front skid plate. it will give you a direct shot at the bolts on the sway bar. that extra 5 minutes will save you 30 minutes and some busted fingers.

yes, only the bushings and after replacing all the swaybar bushings front and back i will say that it's not a "WOW, why didnt i do this earlier" moment but i could feel a bit more flatness thru turns. not a bad investment over all.

Are these split so you can just pop them right over the bar? Also, it appears these are the non-greaseable bushings, any reason you chose one over the other?

yes, they are split. they slip on pretty easy. i got those becuase i was not able to find the greasers. the ones i put on the back swaybar are however greasers.
