Stalling and dying

We have a 2001 6 cyl 4 runner. My son drove during a downpour. Shortly after that, the trac lights came on as well as the CEL. A few days later he put it in drive and it began to stall and the RPMs dropped and increased repeatedly. This happened over and over. We barely made it home. My husband disconnected the battery cables and all the lights went off. He tried to drive it again, but again the truck stalled and died several times before we made it around the block. Acceleration did not help it run. We have already replaced the battery cables, gas cap, and O2 sensor a few months ago for maintenance.

What code does the CEL gives..that will help you more than we can

I dont know. I'm afraid to try to drive it uptown to have it checked.

Trac lights came on? I assume your T4R is a 01 or 02? Have you had any breaking issues when you can actually keep it running?
