Starter

I have to put a new starter on my 4runner tommorow. I think I'm capable never done it before though. Is it pretty straight foward, how long should it take? thanks

Not long/straight forward/disconnect your battery cables/ starters are heaver then they look.

Just disconnect the battery first off, crawl underneath and locate starter. I cant remember if you need a 17mm or 19mm wrench. Just loosen the nuts or bolts, cant remember, and pull off. Put new one on in same manner.

I was hoping to hear something about the 03/04 V8 starter. Rumor has it that it's located under the intake manifold.

Yes, it is located underneath the Intake manifold. It looks like a hard job, but it really isnt that bad.
