Starting an overland youtube/instagram

So in the vastness of all the overlander pages and youtube channels i thought it would be fun to see who has what, who does what, and a chance to check each others pages and grow the community some more.

The channel i am apart is very new and non of the trucks are super modded but they are on there way. Our channel is three brothers who just go out and explore. We just put up our first youtube video. It is of our adventures in hells revenge where we met the super cool guys from https://www.instagram.com/cheap_state_overland/ they were fun to hang out and wheel with.

Hey thanks man. Haha yeah the overland market is a little full. Maybe overlander is the wrong wording, maybe adventurer. Our channels are more just three brothers trying not to kill our trucks but seeing what they can do. Like taking a stock (it had sliders) 4runner to hells revenge and how insanely capable those trucks are before we start throwing things on it.

Good luck with the channel. I personally, enjoy watching the grass roots overland type videos. Once the sponsors start pitching in is when, I stop watching. What were once honest reviews of gear and equipment used, now become very biased.

Thanks. I could definitely work on my editing skills. I am with you a grass roots style videos capture my interest more than our sponsor says its improper to run this tire pressure that we all know is what you should on that surface.

Be unique, have quality content, produce for the viewer not yourself, self promote like crazy. In just the last few years YouTube has become crazy competitive to get views. The first 1K subs and 100K views are nearly impossible to obtain due to YouTube not recognizing you as a content creator, yet. Prepare to work your ass off for at least a couple years before Youtube decides to make your channel "visible".

Try to never use a vertical phone for recording. You lose so much of the action and scenery. I do like your choice of music. I get sick of the folksy stuff the others are oversaturated with.
