This is an awesome truck. It has personality....which is something that very few vehicles on the road have these days, particularly in this price range. It has a unique feature set that is not very commonly found and Im finding it to be fantastic as a daily driver, work truck and also can be cleaned up and taken out on a date. Im learning what the limits to this vehicle are in terms of breaking, handling and feel. Last night I had it out on some pretty challenging twistys in some hills and now that I have the feel of the suspension down, Im able to match accelleration with breaking and allow the suspension KDSS to do its thing in stabilizing the roll and providing me with real feel. On the highway, the truck is a dream and the 6 cyl is responsive as needed... tranny matches up well with it. I didnt think Id like the water proof seats but have come to love them because they clean up very well and I can see them being a more viable long term solution for a truck like this. Truck based SUVs are becomming less and less common but lets hope that the 4Runner will always be here to stay.

glad to hear you're loving it. i continue to marvel at the KDSS and am so happy i got it. initially, i was totally not digging the Trail's fabric seats either, but like you have come to appreciate the easy cleaning: dog-snot wipes right up!
