True, but he beams need to converge at a reasonable distance. I don't need the bar to only light up what's 600ft in front of me.

No offense but it looks exactly like this thread with the exception you hid the wires inside the cover which i like that idea why not just post it in this thread rather than starting a new one

Wiring –
I then routed the wires though the hood hinge hole and mounted my relay to an existing bolt next to the fuse box.
What size bolt did you use to mount the relay to the side of the engine bay wall?
I have the threaded hole, but no bolt.
just tap it with a small sheet metal bolt

Just did this mod and it turned out great! Make sure you buy the low profile hex head bolts for the 3/4 inch ones. This gives you more room to adjust the light bar up and down. You can have the concentration of the spot light 25 feet ahead of you if you want. The roof really doesn't cut it off that early. These things are BRIGHT for being only ~200. Well worth it. I ordered a light bar rocker switch from OTRATTW and installed it in a blank from the center console. This switch is cool looking but is WAY too bright when driving at night - I don't recommend it. Just some thoughts

Where are you guys finding the bolts to mount in the rail?The draw bolts that my local home Depot and Lowes have are not 1/4 inch.
Nevermind, I googled and found that another Home Depot in my town does in fact carry the 1/4 draw bolt. It's only the store that is closest to me that sells the smaller ones. The closest Lowes to me also sells the same smaller one that Home Depot does. Oh well, a trek across town tomorrow.

Finally got it all installed. This light is from ledbarz.com. It's a single row, 41" SX5 series, 150W. What I liked about this light was the fact that is doesn't have screw heads across the front. I had to use the bottom mount and modify the mounts by cutting them shorter. I ran the wires through the rail and down the windshield like most others.

How are you guys running the wiring down? Thats the part I'm confused on. Got my led bar in today ready to mount but can't figure out the wiring for the life of me

I cut the outer shield off the cable so that it was only the two wires. I ran them through the roof rack channel and under the roof rack mount and slowly worked them under the rubber trim down the windshield. There is a groove beside the windshield they will fit into.
Don't use anything sharp to push the wires under the rubber seal. I had a plastic tool used for computers, but you could probably wrap electrical tape around a screwdriver. You don't want to damage the insulation around the wire.

Thanks, RickC! I'm diggin the look of yours too. How did you utilize your Ledbarz' bottom brackets to mount to the rail? Looks like yours is tight on space like mine.

For my GPS antenna, I just ran it down the windshield inside the trim, then down under the cowling and into the engine bay, then ran it straight into the cabin through the rubber grommet by the pedals

I used L brackets from home depot. I just cut them to size that I wanted. I was wanting the light to sit evenly between the rail height wise. I also cut the mounts that came with the light to shorten them. The mounts for my light is what is used to adjust the light bar angle so I had to use them. This brand of light was too wide to use the side mounts unless I went with a setup like you are using, but I would not have the ability to adjust the angle of the light.
