I recently installed a lift on my 2017 TRD Off Road with KDSS. The lift is 2in front, 1in rear. It is a dobinsins kit. I also installed JBA UCAs to add caster. I have noticed that after installing the lift and getting an alignment (Caster at 4.5) while turning right close to full lock, the wheel will pull hard right into the lock rather that pulling back towards center. Some tire scrubbing can be heard as well. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this and whether there are any options for steering geometry corrections with a lift?

How do the toe and camber settings look on the alignment print-out? I would start there and make sure they are close to factory specs.

TO OP: I am not an alignment specialist by any means… so IMHO: I would recheck all suspension points (bolts\nuts) and make sure nothing is loose and torqued to spec. If it is and alignment numbers are true (nothing moved after alignment reading was taken), then I would try to reduce caster to be under 4... (make it 3.5)

just fyi I lifted my 4runner 3in in the front and 2in inches in the rear with jba UCAs a couple weeks ago. At first (driving to brake masters for an alignment), it drove perfectly (but i still believed i needed an alignment). I went to brake masters and they set the caster to 4.1ish. now it pulls to the left a little. I always had intentions to take it to a real 4wd alignment shop and that is tomorrow. I will tell you how it goes.
I don't have a 4wd shop locally. It can take a couple tries. The shop I went too suggested letting the suspension settle a little then returning. It did settle noticeably over a couple weeks. The second time around I got a more experienced tech who got the alignment dead on. Now though I'm wondering if I had them push the caster too high based on the the weird characteristics I described. I will probably have them set it to 3.5 caster when I get new tires soon.
yea I'm not sure what they did, they said they made some adjustments as it was still slightly off. Either way, it runs smooth now.

I do my own alignments at home and I prefer to set my Camber at 0.0 on left front and 0.0 on right front. Caster between 3.0-3.5. Good luck

I'm curious how you do them at home. I'd love to attempt my own alignment and find what best suits me. Paid for too many alignments over the years.

You can buy all the tools needed on Amazon and there is a lot of how to videos on YOUTUBE. Its not black magic but it can be very time consuming. I can say no wheel alignment shop has done a good job on my cars over the years so I started doing them. Very happy with my results.
