Step One: Delete Chrome. Step Two: Add Black Wheels

So I finally got my black wheels, thanks to all the input from the forum! I took advantage of no interest for six months and a mail in rebate and got new tires as well, this time in E load. Stock size whells/tires, no lift. Here are some pics. Sorry for the hurricane damage backdrop! All of my usual truck photography backdrops are damaged and off limits.

Fortunately the only chrome on my truck is the emblems and the "4Runner." I took off the front emblem and plastidipped it. For the rear, I originally wanted to do just the emblem and lettering, but removing the excess was a pain in the ass and the toothpick I used scratched the black plastic. So I just sprayed the whole thing. I think it looks better than having two different textures of the same color.

While those wheels look good, my concern is that they obviously attract pigeons. Are you doing anything to protect against them wreaking havoc on your paint?

Pigeons be hatin'!

I'm just thankful its not seagulls! There's a deli in Howard Beach that makes the best sandwiches on the planet. You get your sandwich and you drive down to the parking lot at the foot of the bridge and eat your sandwich in front of a nice view of Jamaica Bay. There are always seagulls around, and god forbid they sense you have food! They will sit on your hood, they'll peck at your windshield, they'll fight on your roof. I'll take pigeons over seagulls any day.

AnthonyMV- No tint! I'm not getting the windows tinted. I had a few cars with tinted windows, never was crazy about it. I like as much visibility as possible. I'm the person who's windows are always immaculately crystal clear, even though the rest of the truck is covered with mud. Plus I've never seen aftermarket tint that matches the factory tint on the back.

I also put these on yesterday-

I'm a little worried my truck may start looking too "military." It's not too bad, right? Just one flag on each side? I guess its on my mind with all the National Guard vehicles around here the last month...

Just put a multicolored "pride" flag on there; that would take any military edge right off it. You might might also make some new friends happy to help you with any rear end work you want to get done.

Antman asked, no begged, me to pick up extra Hello Kitty steering wheel covers for him. He wore out his other one.

Yes, I thought this would marinate for a while and accrue comments before you saw it. You photoshopped my flag. These are actual pictures of your steering wheel covers...
