Sticky door locks?

I'm sure this has been posted before but I figured I might as well try and get a straight answer, since I can't find anything addressing my specific problem.

I have a '96 with no keyless entry of course, and whenever I go to unlock the car my key refuses to turn right to unlock the driver door. It can turn left to lock but doesn't always turn right to unlock. Sometimes it will turn right first try, but most of the time I'll have to do some jiggling of the key and turn it left a few times, then it will free up and I can turn it right to unlock. On the other hand, the passenger side door lock is smooth as butter.

Any ideas as to what could be the problem and how to fix it?

Try shooting WD-40 or similar into locks. It will clean out any crude and lubricate it. I do this every 6 months. Also, you may want to get a new key cut at your local Toyota stealership...must show your registration to get it done.
