Yep... I know some of you are cringing because I will tell you how it is... tough! lol

anyway, traded the 2011 SR5 in on a 2015 Jeep Unlimited. Great vehicle but I quickly realized after 1 highway trip what I was missing about the 4runner. Umph and comfort. :hail:

So anyway the other day I took the Jeep to have it lifted etc and after being quoted $4200 I was like WTF am I doing. That would build a bad ass 4R!

So with only 2200 on the odo the Jeep is going bye bye and this is my new set of wheels. 2015 SR5 4x4 w/3rd row (yes I like 3rd row and I am ordering a Gobi).

To top it off I got $600 more in trade than I paid OTD on the Jeep!

I LOVE JEEP! they have always treated me well, but my 2011 4runner hands down is the best all around vehicle I have ever owned and I am sure my 2015 will be that and more!

Ha-ha. Your accountant must be tying the noose around his neck.

Anyways, welcome back. Please check the stickies for more information and learn to use the search function. Oh, and don't look any Pro owner directly in the eyes

Did the Jeep have the V6? I test drove one of those as well, and found the throttle response, especially at low speed, lacking. It seemed quite lazy, like it didn't want to move from a dead stop. Imagine trying to get a teen to quit texting, get off the couch, and go take out the trash. That was the response the Jeep seemed to give from a dead stop. You had to really kick it in the ass to get it to move.

I didn't get to try a Hemi version... I couldn't find one optioned how I would want it with a V8 and still be in my budget. I'd hope it wasn't a dog too.

Anyway, I agree the 4R is a great road trip vehicle! I don't know you that well, seen a few posts, but I'll say "Welcome Back", at least until you tell me like it is and hurt my feelings.

God help us all. Should've got a TRD Pro, I hear they're better than all the other 5th gens.

No TURD Pro for me... didnt you just hear me say I can build a bad ass 4R for $4200?! lol

yep 3.6 V6. It is a little sluggish at first but like the 4R just mash the skinny. It was much improved over the 3.8 in my 2007 JKU though.

I am glad Stifler is back! Ever since he left, it has felt like there has been a large, gaping hole.....in the A-Hole department!

First thing you need to do though, is get rid of those Accessory Running Boards! How did you let them sell those to you?

Let this be a lesson to others...once you own a 4runner, you always come back!

I got $250 for the exact same boards. Put them in our FS section. I took mine off same day. Glad you are back. These guys were pissing me off.

well that didn't take long. just when this place was getting nice, comfy and cozy.

dam kids, get off my lawn :)
