Stock Alignment specs

What are the stock alignment specs for a 11 sr5.
I purchased new toyo open country at2 tires from town fair tire and had them do the $50 alignment at the same time.

Want to make sure they did the alignment to oem spec

What specs did you end up with? Did you get a print out?

These are normally loaded in to the program/computer that runs the alignment (Hunter as an example).

Before measurements:
Left front : camber 0.2, caster 3.0 toe 0.06
Right front : camber 0.0, caster 3.0, toe 0.12
Front: total toe 0.18, steer ahead -0.03
Left rear: camber -0.2, toe -0.17
Right rear: camber -0.3, toe 0.11
Rear: total toe -0.07, thrust angle -0.14

Current measurements:
ents:
Left front : camber 0.2, caster 3.0 toe 0.07
Right front : camber 0.0, caster 3.0, toe 0.08
Front: total toe 0.15, steer ahead 0.00
Left rear: camber -0.2, toe -0.13
Right rear: camber -0.3, toe 0.11
Rear: total toe -0.02, thrust angle -0.12

It was such a small change that I barely noticed a difference. It seems to hold straight better when I release the steering wheel going 40+ mph... It used to veer to one side...
The tires just feel better overall compared to the duelers obviously, just making sure I got a OEM specked alignment like promised

That's looks fine. I believe the range for caster is 2 to 4 and the others are 0 or close to zero.

Thats a pretty good alignment.

I hope you didn't pay for that because nothing was adjusted. The slight change was probably from the tech grabbing on to the bumper. It would not have changed pulling at all because your caster is unchanged.

I wouldnt say that, although caster and camber were likely not touched, Toe was changed. His steering wheel is now straight. So changes were made and its properly aligned now.

I'm happy that it's good. He did a slight change because it tracks better. Only reason I was was concerned was because it took them like 10minutes to do the alignment.
I only paid $50 for it so I'm not concerned.

The reason I did the alignment in the first place was because my previous tires, Bridgestone duellers got worn on the edges of the tires way more then the rest of the tire, in the front only. (I didn't rotate tires for the last 20k miles).

I just wanted to make sure the alignment wasn't causing this. Seems to me that alignment wasn't really an issue for this. Maybe it's because I go into turns too fast and give gas while turning onto and off of the freeways...

Either way my alignment is good now, and I got a decent deal on my new tires which feel so much better now, so I'm satisfied

Yikes! It only took them 10 mins because they didn't do anything. The only improvement you would see in tracking would be the result of a change in caster (or a major camber change). There was no adjustment made to these angles. I would suggest taking your print out to another shop and showing them. You really should get a refund.

that might work in fairy tale land but in the real world there are more variables to an alignment that just camber/castor adjustments. Additionally if the OP was getting odd tread wear in the last tires it is good PREVENTATIVE maintenance to get it aligned. I just put new stock sized tires on and got an alignment because it hadnt been done in a while..... it is sort of like washing bird shit off your truck.... you could probably leave it for a few days and be OK but why risk it?

I am not sure you understand alignments. There is nothing PREVENTATIVE about alignments. There are typically 3 adjustable angles in wheel alignments. There are other inclusive angles that can be measured, but it pretty much comes down to those 3 angles. If those angles are in spec, there is nothing to adjust. They are either in spec or not. I agree it isn't a bad idea to have it checked on a regular basis, but you shouldn't pay for work that isn't done. Most shops offer free alignment checks and only charge if they have to make an adjustment. They generally charge a set fee regardless of the angles adjusted. Toe is the easiest and most commonly adjusted angle, and it is also what causes tire wear. To adjust camber and caster require more effort then will still require a toe adjustment because toe will change with camber and caster. Rarely will you see a tech adjust camber and caster unless it is absolutely necessary.

the reason for the odd wear is bolded above.
that is WAY to long to go without rotating the tires. if you want them to last, rotate every 5k. just do it with each oil change.

and why would he expect a refund? he went in, not knowing if his alignment was in or not. and he left with a vehicle that IS correctly aligned, and now he KNOWS that. the tech still had to go through the work of setting up the gauges, and verifying where it was at. and it looks like he made a slight adjustment to the toe.

Ah, my favorite stalking is following me. There is a difference between a check, and actually having work done. If the poster had stated that he had his alignment checked and it was ok and they charged him for that, that would be perfectly acceptable.

That does not appear to be the case unless the poster was confused about what he paid for. As I stated, most shops offer free checks and those that don't will have a different price for a check then the work. Making what appears to be a slight and not needed adjustment to get paid is fraud.

Dude your way off track. You claim he didnt need any adjustments. Do you have any idea if his steering wheel was centered prior to the alignment? In this case it WAS off, they adjusted toe( while centering the steering wheel) The OP's vehicle is no longer pulling or tracking anymore

Also he only paid $50. Which in seems pretty cheap in my opinion, But different areas have different rates and costs of living.

The OP was not questioning if anything was done. He was questioning if it was correct as it was cheap and fast. The answer to that is Yes it is correct(as long as the wheel is centered).

Making what appears to be a slight and not needed adjustment to get paid is fraud.
This is completely false. First you accuse them of not doing anything( other than pulling on the bumper. Then you say they made an "Unneeded" adjustment Just so that they could charge him. Clearly adjustments were needed if the OP claims the truck drives better, Its YOUR opinion that they were unneeded and unless your the one working on the truck or the owner. i dont think your qualified to make that decision. On the same token, We dont know if anything was adjusted. Maybe the OP has it in his head that its better and nothing has changed. Whos to say???

Another brother in arms!

Guys, I'm not expecting a $50 refund. Although it was a slight change, it does in fact track better. It doesn't pull to the side anymore.
I'm happy either way, just making sure it's within OEM spec

It's town fair tire, I doubt these kind of chains would give you a refund. They are more about quantity then quality. Only reason I did alignment with them is because he kinda just thru the cheap price on me and I didn't really think about it, but in the end everything is good.
