stock antenna

I purchased a 13” metal antenna at the local auto parts and it whistled at speeds above 70 mph. The rubber antennas seem to bend after a year or so if you often drive at highway speeds. I will be cutting my stock antenna to about the roof line and re-attaching the little ball so that it looks stock. There are a few posts here ( I think) and elsewhere on how to do it.

I'm keeping the ugly, long antenna. It kept me from hitting the roof rack on a low garage entry. I call it my early warning system.

FWIW - Your truck should have come with the little plastic wrench for removing the stock antenna (Toyota includes it for going through "touch" type car washes). Mine was in the glovebox as I discovered when I read my manual from cover to cover the day I took delivery of my T4R .
